The Interference Test Set is designed to test the electrical interference immunity of electronic instruments and complete instrumentation systems. The test set produces interference at levels typically found on industrial plant and is therefore ideal for pre-compliance testing. It can also be used with an injection line for periodic testing of installed industrial instrumentation.
The test set can produce a continuous sinewave variable from 10kHz to 100MHz and can also be used in step and burst mode. In the burst and step mode, an output from the equipment under test can be monitored on an oscilloscope, synchronised with the sine burst and step. The resulting disturbance of the equipment under test can then be displayed. Output current and voltage monitor outputs are also provided.
The unit is housed in a portable steel carrying case whose lid affords protection to all controls and connectors. It is designed for use with an external oscilloscope. It is a mains operated instrument (110V/230V by internal tap change) and has forced air ventilation.
