The CGM5 Radiation Monitor is a wall mounted self contained gamma radiation monitoring instrument, with gamma flux measurement range of 0.1mRad/Hr to 1000mRad/Hr. It is intended for use as an area gamma radiation alarm.
Indication is via a front panel mounted meter with a logarithmic characteristic. Comprehensive trip facilities and an audible high flux alarm are provided, together with remote indication ability.
The detector, an argon filled ionization chamber, is mounted integral with the head amplifier which may be operated remote from the Monitor. Remote indication of flux level is normally via 1mA moving coil meters.
An optional internally mounted eight bit ADC is available for digital data collection systems.
